AVIATOR is a new Cressi proposal focused on the diver who wants a very complete but lightweight bcd, hydrodynamic and at a moderate cost. If we are realistic, it is probably the best fit for most recreational divers.
It combines a traditional structure with a remarkable rising capacity due to its peculiar pattern that oversizes the lobes and extends towards the hips. Its profile is especially hydrodynamic. It is a very balanced model in terms of resistance, pocket capacity, comfort and with a very contained price.
The Aviator back pack is very light and flexible to fulfill its function without adding weight or volume to the set. Completely covered with a comfortable neutral buoyancy padding made of a closed cell material that prevents the accumulation of water or air and, therefore, reduces the inherent buoyancy of the bcd and facilitates quick drying. Unlike many bcds considered "travel", the stability of the tank under water is not compromised thanks to the configuration of the air chamber that acts as a guide for the tank.
Its sober and elegant design combines neutral colours that can be combined with all kinds of equipment.

The axillary strap system and low profile lobes guarantee great freedom of movement and that the entire upper area of the chest is free of oppressions.
It incorporates version 2.0 of the LOCK AID SYSTEM ballast system, now equally safe and easy to manage but with a lighter structure and that allows the vest to be used also without a ballast system.
Aviator’s ultralight structure and anatomical cut translate under water into a highly grippy and hydrodynamic jacket, which offers very little resistance in advance. It is extremely practical for transporting minimum volume and weight: 2.5 kg (size M) and, thanks to its self-folding structure, a very low stowage volume.

One D ring in 50 mm ABS and two 25 mm in ABS.
Especially flexible materials used for the lateral areas, pockets and shoulder pads, to achieve great comfort and to occupy the minimum space inside the transport bag.

Direct System Inflator, removable without tools for eventual cleaning operations even at the diving location in case of sand entering. Exclusive double mesh metal filter system to prevent particle access to the inflation valve. Anti-sand design that hinders the blocking action of possible sand grains that enter in to the mechanism.

Minimalist Back Pack with thickness reduced to the maximum to lighten it. Ultra-resistant and semi-flexible material. Thermoplastic rubber shock absorber for better adjustment of the tank. Possibility of double tank strap. Includes safety strap for attaching the bcd to the tank valve.

Two fixed weight-bearing compartments located in the dorsal area. They’re really useful to define the diver trim.
LAS 2.0 ballast system reduces drastically the total volume of the mechanism, especially the one that is integrated in the vest, making it much more flat, light and discreet. New gummy-touch handle assembled directly on the pocket. LAS allows the weight management to be automated and intuitive, even with the vest on and in bad conditions (in flotation, with rough sea, etc.). The pockets, which enter perfectly channelled in their position, and a D-ring set on the manhole facilitate the fabric tend and the directly bag entrance. 15mm end with spring effect that compensates possible accidental fouling, etc. Released in two stages: balancing and real uncoupling. The pockets are reinforced with a rigid plate to facilitate the sliding (shared in all sizes from XS to XL and identical in both sides). Capacity until 4.5 Kg each with flexible weight.
Direct System Inflator 2011: Double metallic filter on the low air entrance, on the rods and cylindrical filter around the valve. It has a remarkably robust body with attractive design. The inflating velocity has been rebalanced, 50% higher (traditional jacket of M size in 4 seconds to 1 atm). Anti-sand design with minimized oral inflator nozzle. The pusher has a wide gap in relation to its main seat to avoid the sand blocking action. Water tightness emptying pusher via exterior silicone D-ring. Inflating pusher integrated in the profile to avoid unwanted inflating when pulling the windpipe to empty it. New really resistant windpipe with a progressive curvature. It includes guide-hose clamp.

Ventral strap independent of the inflatable bladder and the sash. It allows you to stick it to the limit with the bcd deflate, avoiding pressure on the stomach when inflating.
